The Purpose

Restoration City Church is privileged to continue in the footsteps of the Protestant Reformation in attempting to apply the Gospel of the Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ to the particular issues and questions of our day. Our doctrinal statement follows the historic, orthodox creeds and confessions of the church.

Statement of Faith

- We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. It is the only rule that God has given us to direct our knowledge of, duty towards and worship of Him. (2 Timothy 3:16)

- We believe there is only one, living and true God; who externally exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. These three are one God, the same in substance, equal in power and glory. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Colossians 2:9; Mark 3:29)

- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (1 Timothy 3:16; 1 Thessalonians 4:16)

- We believe Christ purchased redemption for God’s elect, thus making it possible for sinners to be rescued from their lost estate, enabling them to enjoy communion with the Triune God and saving them from eternal wrath and hell. (Revelation 5:9)

- We believe the lost are made partakers of Christ’s redemption through the means of gospel proclamation followed by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit; Who applies the knowledge of Christ’s redemption to our hearts, convicts us of sin, uniting us to Christ and working faith in us to believe this calling. (Romans 8:15-17, 29-30; 10:14)

- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and to perform the good works for which we were created. (Romans 8:9-11; Ephesians 2:10; Titus 2:11-14)

- We believe the Lord Jesus Christ shall one-day return to judge the living and the dead. (1 Peter 4:5)

- We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (John 5:28-29)

- We believe the Church to be the called out ones, purchased, washed, and cleansed by the blood of Christ, saved to be a people for His glory, and consisting of people from every tribe and tongue. (1 Peter 2:9; Revelation 1:5-6)

- We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 4:4-6
